Hampstead Jazz Club
The Hampstead Jazz Club (HJC), a recognised Grassroots Music Venue is situated in the cellar of the Duke of Hamilton Pub (1721), both are recognised as an Asset of Community Value within Camden. HJC opened in Nov 2018, in a short period has established itself as a valuable asset for the community delivering quality original programming (Jazz, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Contemporary Classical) from an eclectic mix of established musicians and new and upcoming artists, hosting performances 4-5 nights a week. HJC promotes shows at other larger venues and has a Jazz record label which creates, markets and distributes recordings internationally.
In 2020, HJC established a professional Live Streaming facility from the club which allows musicians and engineers to safely operate and earn a living while delivering live shows to audiences locally and internationally.
